Producer EP  Caroline Russo in association with  Distributor Jessica Butland of Radioactive Pictures have joined together with “Who is Gatsby Randolph“  a funny, poignant wild ride through the red carpets and hills of Hollywood with unfettered access to all the glitz and glamour the city is built on.

The world of Hip-Hop is well known for glamour, extravagance, and endless paparazzi, but the journey to success is easily overlooked. Who is Gatsby Randolph is the highly entertaining, ironic, but incredibly true story of aspiring music producer Kobie Randolph’s alter ego, Gatsby Randolph, and his road to breaking into the entertainment industry.

The film follows Kobie / Gatsby as he flies on a one-way ticket from Tennessee to LA for a once-in-a-lifetime deal, only to watch it fall apart and he is left standing on the sidewalk in Hollywood with no options. Ever the chameleon, Kobie invents Gatsby Randolph, and quickly sets a course to conquer the city that had all but slammed the door on his dreams.

Gatsby Randolph is a true story, that includes many “A” list names – such as Beyonce, Jeff Bezos, Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Z, Steven Spielberg, and Kanye West amongst others – and takes the audience through Gatsby’s journey as he hangs out with celebrity royalty at some of the most exclusive parties in Hollywood.

“As a filmmaker, I had to recognize that my own story of rags to riches was, in fact, a movie in the making,” says Kobie / Gatsby Randolph. “It was a challenging film to create, but now I can look back and can say as Old Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra said’ I did it my way!  Considering the timing of global affairs and how things have changed in Hollywood, it’s great that Australia is the new Hollywood at present in filmmaking and can’t wait to visit Downunder and host a big party as well Gatsby Style. The fact that my story is to be on the wider screens theatric in Australia is pretty amazing and that it will inspire you or you have a fun ride through the process of it.

Qld Screen Film TV Events last event of the year will be November 15th at the new cinema home base Events Cinema Mt Gravatt. The evening will highlight screenwriters as well as other aspects to the evening and networking in the foyer to begin with at 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

Our first announcement guest speaker will be Queensland screenwriter Shayne Armstrong. Shayne will share how he began in the biz to what it takes to build yourself as a writer and to give more of insight to the aspects of the industry. We look at some of his films which have consisted of working in crime thriller ACOLYTES (2008) starring Joel Edgerton and Bella Heathcote, and for the high-concept creature feature BAIT 3D (2012) which was Australia’s highest grossing film internationally in the year of its release and the highest ever grossing Australian film in China.

QUEENSLAND SCREEN INDUSTRY EVENTS LAUNCH BRISBANE AT EVENT CINEMA GARDEN CITY
Caroline Russo Enterprises is very happy to announce that she will be holding regular screen industry events to be presented at EVENTS CINEMA Garden City Westfield Shopping Centre.

The next Queensland Screen Industry Event (QSIE) will take place on October 9th at Event Cinemas at Garden City Westfield with producer and filmmaker Lin Sutherland. QSIE is a opportunity for independent, aspiring and emerging filmmakers to network with one another and hear stories from industry veterans.

Guests are invited to arrive from 6.00pm to mingle and have complimentary non alcoholic drink, and nibbles in the foyer.

7.00pm we will commence our evening with special guest Lin Sutherland where we will introduce and present for first time world exclusive of her footage of Beauty and Reef. Afterwards we shall discuss the production and producing side of the film.

Sutherland has been specialising in environmental documentaries for over 20 years. Her latest feature documentary ‘Beauty and the Reef’ focuses on the current environmental issues in a sense de-myths climate change. The film itself is not about pointing fingers or looking at one view but creates a conversation based on science and facts. Sutherland says, “My eye witness accounts of the environmental changes affecting the Great Barrier Reef span over 20 years of diving and filming before the environment became a sexy word. This film documents my quest while interviewing leading experts to understand why.”

Caroline Russo is known for building network events in film and television events in Queensland is excited to present these evenings with Events Cinema in Brisbane. The aim is to present industry figures and look at projects that are happening in Queensland and provide a launch pad for filmmakers. Russo says, “These events are a great opportunity to bring like minded people together.”n
Caroline is keen to hear from filmmakers who want to submit pitch projects for future events or are keen to launch pad films.

2018 marks Lynne Benzie’s 28th year with Village Roadshow Studios. This very special evening will be an opportunity to hear how Lynne got her start in showbiz and her journey in the industry.

Hush Hush Guess Who Coming To Dinner?

Caroline Russo Enterprises and Hush Hush Biz are very pleased to present two very talented entertainers, the toast of the town couple, Luke Kennedy and Naomi Price. The evening will spotlight our guests throughout the night, allowing them to share stories of their amazing careers. We will explore where it all started, their experiences on The Voice Australia, where they both became household names. They are admired by international singing sensation and their mentor Ricky Martin, who they both had the privilege of performing with. They will also share stories from their varied and wide performance experiences, from Naomi’s fantastic theatre career to Luke’s international touring with The Ten Tenors.

Luke and Naomi are incredible performers who can sing up a storm anywhere and are also talented in the areas of acting, stage performances and presenting for TV.Naomi is currently on stage for the show of The Tragedy of King Richard III at La Boîte Theatre Company from May 21 to June 11, while Luke is in Strictly Gershwin withQueensland Ballet and Queensland Symphony Orchestra from May 27 to June 4. This is the launch of “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” dinner parties where invited special guests will be invited and they will be spotlighted as the celebrity guest speakers, who will share there life stories and maybe a bit more while Caroline puts them in the spotlight.Caroline Russo has invited for the kick off event the man around town who is known as Mr Hollywood Damien Anthony Rossi. Caroline and Damien both being Italian are never short of word, and no doubt this will be a fun event and to hear the journey of how Damien has become a growing celebrity star himself over his years who now heads up covering the socials in the very popular pages of the Sunday Mail each week in UMAG lift out section. Damien is also seen on Channel 7 in the Great South East as one of the presenting reporters, and also is very famous for Rossi Oscar parties that he has been hosting for many years and raises money for the charity foundations.
