A New Dinner Event Launch “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner”. 

Hush Hush Biz is excited to be launching a new event that will be presented by Caroline Russo on April 7th at Bella Tiarnie Italian Restaurant and Gourmet Pizzas.

This is the launch of “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” dinner parties where invited special guests will be invited and they will be spotlighted as the celebrity guest speakers, who will share there life stories and maybe a bit more while Caroline puts them in the spotlight.Caroline Russo has invited for the kick off event the man around town who is known as Mr Hollywood Damien Anthony Rossi. Caroline and Damien both being Italian are never short of word, and no doubt this will be a fun event and to hear the journey of how Damien has become a growing celebrity star himself over his years who now heads up covering the socials in the very popular pages of the Sunday Mail each week in UMAG lift out section. Damien is also seen on Channel 7 in the Great South East as one of the presenting reporters, and also is very famous for Rossi Oscar parties that he has been hosting for many years and raises money for the charity foundations.

Our venue of choice is Bella Tiarnie in Brisbane New Farm that is known for traditional Italian meals, so it will be a Italian affair dinner date for sure. Hush Hush Guess Who Coming To Dinner?

Caroline Russo Enterprises and Hush Hush Biz are very pleased to present two very talented entertainers, the toast of the town couple, Luke Kennedy and Naomi Price. The evening will spotlight our guests throughout the night, allowing them to share stories of their amazing careers. We will explore where it all started, their experiences on The Voice Australia, where they both became household names. They are admired by international singing sensation and their mentor Ricky Martin, who they both had the privilege of performing with. They will also share stories from their varied and wide performance experiences, from Naomi’s fantastic theatre career to Luke’s international touring with The Ten Tenors.

Luke and Naomi are incredible performers who can sing up a storm anywhere and are also talented in the areas of acting, stage performances and presenting for TV.Naomi is currently on stage for the show of The Tragedy of King Richard III at La Boîte Theatre Company from May 21 to June 11, while Luke is in Strictly Gershwin withQueensland Ballet and Queensland Symphony Orchestra from May 27 to June 4. They are in high demand both as individuals and a couple. Luke is also seen as a regular presenter for Channel 7’s Great South East.

EAST Broadbeach, in collaboration with Caroline Russo Enterprises and Hush Hush Biz, is thrilled to present a SUPERHERO THEMED PARTY on the 8th of July. Alert to all the lovers and fans of comic book heroes as this is going to be a party that they will want not to miss.

The anticipated blockbuster Marvel movie, Thor: Ragnarok, will begin filming in July at Village Roadshow Studios, meaning there is going to be a splash of Hollywood stars in town on the Gold Coast!

To celebrate this occasion, all fans and enthusiasts are encouraged to dress up as their favourite hero. We have some cool prizes to give away throughout the night including ‘best dressed’ who will win an awesome prize pack.

Tony Cavanaugh is a novelist, scriptwriter and producer in film and television. He has forty years of experience in the film industry, in all fields, from the genesis of an idea to production. Tony first started worked at Crawford Productions where he spent three years in the Camera Department before moving across into the writing department where he became a script editor, writer and story editor. His work as a writer and editor at Crawfords over the years was diverse: The Sullivans, Zoo Family, Carson’s Law, Cluedo, The Flying Doctor, Halfway Across the Galaxy and Turn Leftand I Live With My Dad. After he left Crawfords, Tony became a freelance writer, story editor and script editor for all the major Australian production companies on a diverse range of television series. In 1991 Tony formed Liberty Films and created its’ first production drama, Fire, which was nominated for Most Outstanding Mini-Series and Most Popular Drama at the 1994 Logie Awards. Tony has since worked on acclaimed series such as Medivac, which was launched with strong ratings and became an audience hit in Germany, The Day of the Roses and Through My Eyes, which was short-listed for the Queensland Premier’s Literary Awards and nominated as Most Outstanding Mini-Series at the 2005 Logies. Tony has also produced films such as ‘In Her Skin (I Am You)’ and ‘Nine Miles Down’, and has worked with a number of Hollywood screenwriters and directors such as John McNaughton (Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer and Wild Things), John Carpenter (The Thing) and William Friedkin (The Exorcist). In 2012 Tony’s first novel, Promise, sold enough copies to earn him the description “best-selling author”, and were followed by his second and third novel, Dead Girl Sing and The Train Rider. He is currently working on his fifth book, Kingdom of the Strong, and developing a number of projects for both film and TV.

MC host for the evening will be local Gold Coast comedian, Dean Barker, who has been performing stand-up comedy part-time for around ten years. He finds pleasure in discovering the absurdities in the everyday things we as people do. Dean draws inspiration from such comedians as Steven Wright, Louis CK and Chris Begg.

In addition, founder Caroline Russo will be showcasing the very talented up and coming filmmakers Michael O’Halloran and Adam Harmer. Michael O‘Halloran has established himself as a director of television commercials, corporate videos and web documentaries, producing an impressive body of work in the local industry through his production company Mohworks Films. A lover of movies big and small, all of Michael’s work in the commercial world has been in support of his own ambitious productions, including award winning comedy/thriller ‘The Dossier Case’ and the Concept Trailer for new monster film ‘Break The Rock’, both of which he produced and directed. Michael’s infectious passion for film and ambition to create fun, entertaining cinema fuels everything he does as he prepares to shoot his new feature film, the sci-fi mindbender ‘Space/Time’ at the end of this year while continuing to develop the feature version of ‘Break The Rock’. Along with Adam Harmer, they are a producing team that have been collaborating together since they first met at university. Their collaboration has carried through a number of years and a number of projects, including the award winning comedy/thriller ‘The Dossier Case’ and the concept trailer for new monster film ‘Break The Rock’, both of which were written by Adam and Directed by Michael. With each complimenting the other’s creative ambitions and instincts, Michael and Adam have an infectious passion for film and desire to create fun, entertaining cinema. Together, Michael and Adam have co-written a new feature film that Michael will direct at the end of this year – the science-fiction mind-bender ‘Space/Time’.

On the evening, we will also be also introducing, Jan Soh, an above and underwater filmmaker who has produced and shot Jonathan M. Shiff Productions’ MAKO MERMAIDS behind-the-scenes documentary on the Gold Coast for the last two seasons. Deeply creative, Jan is also a passionate actor and musician, acting and singing since childhood and will be performing on the evening.

In addition to John we have the very talented Gold Coast writer and producer of STALKHER Kris Maric. Kris has worked throughout Australia and the UK as a producer, production accountant, financial controller, and finance manager for various entertainment entities in the arenas of music, theatre, TV, and film. Her portfolio of work spans companies such as Queensland Theatre Company, Inspired Movies, Shed Productions, Winnah Films, Coote/Hayes, Village Roadshow, Revolution Studios, Blue Star Pictures, Columbia Tristar Pictures, Foresight Films and Warner Bros. She has also worked in the music industry for Clear Channel Entertainment/Live Nation UK on major festival events and concerts in the UK that have included international artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and Pavarotti. Kris is presently now a producer for Chris Sun new film BOAR.

We shall be looking at the making of the film, and other insights to their production company OZPIX Entertainment, and have a Q&A and with exclusive look at behind the scenes. STALKHER is getting ready for national release in August.

Added guest on the night is Actor Steve Nation who has had major experience in many fields over his years and has been acting since 1990 appeared in over 150 TV commercials worldwide Including a Super Bowl Commercial and commercials for clients such as Budweiser, MacDonalds, Listerene, Holden, Subaru, and most recently Bungee Jumping for Gold Lotto to name a few. He was a International Model for 10 years represented by Ford Models NY. Ralph Lauren Polo Jeans Company in house Model NY for 7.5 years. Appeared in Movies with Jean Claude Van Damme, Jackie Chan and Jet Lee. Has had staring roles in TV such as Medivac, Sea Patrol and most recently played the white haired , tattooed Robert Nutley in Old School Starring Brian Brown and Sam Neil. Currently playing Ezra Hanley on Neighbours and will appear in season 2 of Love Child.
In his last year he has Produced, Wrote, Directed and Starred in “A Turbulent Affair“. and we hope to have a look at the trailer on the night. This is a real treat for all actors that are seeking personal tips that Steve can share on what has been a great career in working in the industry.

The GCIFTN is proud to present Actor/Director David Cameron, who is a graduate of Sydney’s National Institute Of Dramatic Art. He appeared in Australia’s first production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and has forged an extensive career in stage in screen as an actor and director. His TV credits as a director include, City Homicide, Stingers, and Bed Of Roses, whilst his acting credits includeMad Max, Prisoner and Water Under The Bridge. David will take part in our panel for the evening along with another well-known Australian casting director. The Q&A moderated by John Stewart will explore what it is that directors and casting directors are really looking for.

Filmmaker and Writer Director Christopher Lee Sun, who last time gave us a look at his new Horror Film Charlie’s Farm which is about to premier on November 15th in Nambour at BCC. The buzz is also out that he will have his lead actress Tara Reed, travel from LA to attend the opening night. The excitement of his announcement that Shoreline Entertainment have also signed up Chris which will now take him to international level to make films. The GCIFTN welcomes Chris as he may be one hard man to get in the future and and on the night we look forward to hearing more on the subject of filmmaking and talk on distribution. This will be insightful and I say a lot of Fun with Chris who is known to be colourful and could be our next Tarrantino in our backyard!

The Mc host for this event will be another fine talented lady producer, presenter filmmaker Lin Sutherland. She is a wild life reporter and has vast experience in film industry and travels the Globe each year to bring some amazing reports on wild life. This will make this QA a great insight as to the experts of film covering the business of films.

Adam Harris,David Richardson and Codi Carlson will be attending the Gold Coast Indie Film and Tv Network evening on September 15th where they will be discussing the Star Wars Documentary, My Saga and hopefully have some exciting news about to share with you all! Plus more updates on what is happening to updates in Indie films and to Project One Shot.

The season launch has been held in the Old Poker Room at Jupiters Hotel & Casino featuring a very special guest who has trained in all facets of television production including, cameras, directing and floor managing. Screen Queensland’s Director of Development Manager, Jock Blair, has more than fifty years’ experience as a Writer, Story Editor, Producer, Executive Producer and Lecturer in the Australian film and television industry.

Jock was co-creator of a number of highly successful, long running television series and serials such as The Sullivans, Skyways and Bluey.

He held the position of Head of Production for the South Australian Film Corporation for ten years, and during that time he developed, financed and produced nine mini-series, two feature films and three telemovies. Most notable was award-winning mini series, The Shiralee, featuring Bryan Brown, and the feature Playing Beatie Bow, which won the Most Exciting Film Award at the 1987 Moscow Film Festival.“We are lucky enough to have Mr. Blair join us and share his experiences gained over the many years he has been in the industry. This is going to be a very informative evening with a Q&A session on the night,” said Caroline.

The GCIFTN also showcased the new film project, 3010. This Sci Fi series features the work of writer Michael Rodrigues and producer Sarah Disney. 3010 takes viewers on an epic adventure, exploring themes of hope, freedom and equality as the main characters endure daily struggles in this unusual and complex world. From the alien controlled mega-cities to the humans living in the ruined wasteland, you will be captivated by the powerful relationships and phenomenal action sequences as you are transported into a world full of danger and heart-stopping excitement.

Attached to the casting of 3010 is one of Australia’s most talented actors who will fly in from Sydney to speak with us, John Batchelor. John is known for his work in hit TV show Sea Patrol, and much-loved Australian film, Red Dog. Our other guest is actor Radek Jonak who is known for many TV roles over the past few years including Red Dog and most recently, 3010.

The night has opened on a musical note with singer songwriter Miranda Ward, who is currently working on the release of her debut album with producer Tom Wirth.
